Ok, so I'm not actually 40, I'm 44, but I AM fat and I AM single.
This blog is going to be my journey navigating through being single again. It's going to help me express and process all the BS that goes into finding Mr. Right Now, being a single mom, and living my life to the fullest.
About 6 months ago, my relationship with my youngest son's dad ended and we won't go into the ugly details, lets just say it wasn't pleasant. Fast forward a couple months and the 2 of us find ourselves "sleeping together" again. Let's be real...there was NO SLEEPING involved. That was the one thing we could always get right...it was all the other important stuff we never could manage to do. Anyway, after figuring out that fucking my ex was not healthy for me, I decided to venture into the world of dating.
The first place I decided to try was Craigslist, not necessarily to find Mr. Right Now, but to get out of my current mindset. I was so (and still am) focused on my kids and other people that I didn't think about myself and had really neglected the "woman" side of me. I looked at some of the personal ads and HOLY SHIT, there are some weirdo's here. The major WTF ads were looking for someone to cuddle with in their underwear....UMMMM NO WAY. Can we all say STRANGER DANGER!!!! The other was let's meet-up and let me pick out a sex toy for you. Thank you, but no thank you. So what's a girl to do? She places her own ad. Yep, I did and yep, I did get some weird responses, but I did get a really good one that has led to many, many, many emails and one meeting.
